I make this chocolate chip pancakes recipe for breakfast every Sunday. This recipe is a double batch; I freeze half so that school-day breakfasts are a breeze! Homemade pancakes are easier than you think. Come on, let’s make chocolate chip pancakes!
Ingredients
For chocolate chip pancakes, you’re going to need the following basic ingredients. You might have all of these in your pantry right now!
- All purpose flour (see note about subbing other flours)
- Baking powder
- Salt
- Sugar
- Eggs
- Milk
- Vanilla extract
- Melted butter
- Chocolate chips (any kind!)
Note: You can use a mixture of all purpose flour and whole wheat flour. The more whole wheat flour you use, the more milk you should add. Whole wheat flour will soak up more of the moisture in your batter than regular all purpose flour. I haven’t tried any other flours, but would be interested if you added almond flour or other kinds, so let me know if that works out!
